Itineraries
7:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Hotel Pickup & Journey to Shimoni
Depart from your hotel in Diani Beach and travel along Kenya’s beautiful southern coastline towards Shimoni. Enjoy the scenic countryside and coastal landscapes before arriving at the starting point of your adventure.
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM: Shimoni Slave Caves, Forest & Jetty Walk
Explore the historic Shimoni Slave Caves and learn about their connection to the history of the East African slave trade. Continue with a guided walk through the surrounding forest and along the jetty, enjoying the coastal scenery before boarding your boat to Wasini Island.
11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: Wasini Coral Gardens & Marine Experience
Enjoy a boat excursion through the waters of the Kisite-Mpunguti marine area, taking in the spectacular Indian Ocean scenery. Discover the area’s marine biodiversity and coral formations, with opportunities to spot dolphins and other marine life depending on conditions. Snorkelling may be available if included in your package and sea conditions permit.
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Lunch & Wasini Village Walk
Enjoy a delicious local lunch on Wasini Island, often featuring freshly prepared seafood and Swahili-inspired dishes. After lunch, take a guided walk through Wasini Village to experience local culture, traditional coastal architecture, and everyday island life.
3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Return Boat Trip & Journey to Diani Beach
Board the boat for the return journey to Shimoni, enjoying the final views of the Indian Ocean. Upon arrival, continue by road to Diani Beach, with drop-off at your hotel.
The itinerary may be adjusted depending on wildlife movements, road conditions, lodge availability, and your preferred accommodation category.
All refunds are subject to the relevant terms and conditions of airlines, accommodation establishments, national parks, conservation areas, and other third-party service providers. Any non-refundable payments or additional charges imposed by these providers will be deducted from the refund, where applicable.
- 60 days or more before departure: Cancellations made at least 60 days before the scheduled safari date qualify for a refund, minus the non-refundable deposit and any expenses or fees already paid to third-party providers.
30–59 days before departure: Cancellations made within this period will incur a fee equal to 50% of the total safari price.
15–29 days before departure: Cancellations made within this period will incur a fee equal to 75% of the total safari price.
14 days or fewer before departure: Cancellations made within 14 days of departure are non-refundable. The same applies to guests who fail to arrive for their scheduled safari without prior notice.
