Discover the rich history and vibrant culture of Mombasa on a guided city tour from Diani Beach, exploring Fort Jesus, Old Town, the iconic Mombasa Tusks, and the bustling Spice Market.
Itineraries
8:00 AM – 10:00 AM: Hotel Pickup & Journey to Mombasa
Depart from your hotel in Diani Beach and travel towards Mombasa, enjoying the coastal scenery along the way. Cross the Likoni Channel by ferry, subject to traffic and operating conditions, before continuing into the city.
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM: Fort Jesus & Mombasa Old Town
Visit the historic Fort Jesus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and learn about Mombasa’s strategic role in Indian Ocean trade. Continue to Old Town to explore its narrow streets, historic buildings, carved doors, and fascinating blend of Swahili, Arab, and Portuguese influences.
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM: Mombasa Tusks & Spice Market
Stop at the famous Mombasa Tusks along Moi Avenue for photographs and learn about their historical significance. Continue to the Spice Market to discover aromatic spices, fresh produce, and local ingredients while experiencing the lively atmosphere of Mombasa’s traditional markets.
2:00 PM – 4:00 PM: Lunch & Return to Diani Beach
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant (at your own expense unless included in your package). After lunch, begin the return journey to Diani Beach, crossing the Likoni Channel and arriving at your hotel in the afternoon, depending on traffic and ferry queues.
The itinerary may be adjusted depending on wildlife movements, road conditions, lodge availability, and your preferred accommodation category.
All refunds are subject to the relevant terms and conditions of airlines, accommodation establishments, national parks, conservation areas, and other third-party service providers. Any non-refundable payments or additional charges imposed by these providers will be deducted from the refund, where applicable.
- 60 days or more before departure: Cancellations made at least 60 days before the scheduled safari date qualify for a refund, minus the non-refundable deposit and any expenses or fees already paid to third-party providers.
30–59 days before departure: Cancellations made within this period will incur a fee equal to 50% of the total safari price.
15–29 days before departure: Cancellations made within this period will incur a fee equal to 75% of the total safari price.
14 days or fewer before departure: Cancellations made within 14 days of departure are non-refundable. The same applies to guests who fail to arrive for their scheduled safari without prior notice.
